Chatham woman faces impaired driving charges in Tecumseh

OPP officials allege: An individual from Chatham is facing impaired driving-related charges after a two-vehicle collision on Manning Road near County Road 46 in the Town of Tecumseh.

On Saturday June 21, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., members of the Tecumseh Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment stopped a vehicle on Lesperance Road.

As officers arrived on scene, they determined that one of the drivers had previously consumed alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to a local detachment.

As a result, a 40-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with:

– Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and drugs

– Operation while Impaired – 80 plus

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on July 2, 2025.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the collision.
