Indecent act charges laid in Sarnia

Sarnia Police Service officials allege: On June 21 at 5:25pm, police received multiple calls to a convenience store located in the area of Indian Road and Confederation Street.

Information received was that a male was in front of that location holding a knife, exposing his genitals to customers near the front entrance.

Officers arrived, located the male inside the store, and placed him under arrest.

A search incident to arrest resulted in the discovery of a folding pocket knife.

Further investigation revealed that the male had been placed on probation on April 1 2025 with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

A 48-year-old man of no fixed address has been held for bail on the following charges:

– Indecent Act

– Fail to Comply with probation

“Officers are working to address disturbing and recurring disruptive behaviours that we are seeing,” stated Chief Derek Davis.

“Often tied to drug abuse, these anti-social behaviours negatively impact the quality of life in our neighbourhoods. The SPS continues to respond to these concerns as quickly as resources and call demands permit, and to lay charges whenever appropriate.”
