Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 24, 2025, at approximately 10:05 a.m., Chatham-Kent Police Service officers were dispatched to a residence in Chatham in response to an ongoing domestic dispute.
Police were advised that the residence was being actively damaged by another individual.
Investigation revealed that the suspect, a 57-year-old female from Chatham, had unlawfully entered the residence of the victim, a 47-year-old male also from Chatham, while he was sleeping.
She physically assaulted the victim, resulting in minor injuries.
Officers located the suspect nearby, and she was arrested without incident. The individual is currently facing the following charges:
– Assault with a weapon
– Assault with a weapon
– Break and Enter
– Mischief under $5,000
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where she is currently being held for bail.
