Wallaceburg will mark Canada Day on Tuesday, July 1, with a full slate of activities, including Baldoon Days on the south side of the L.O. Stonehouse Memorial Walking Bridge.
The event offers a glimpse into life 200 years ago and the early days of the community, with interactive exhibits and demonstrations.
Attendees can learn about the Baldoon Mystery, explore pioneer homesteading techniques, view early Wallaceburg maps, and take part in rope making, storytelling, and artifact guessing games.
Across the street, the Wallaceburg and District Museum will host family-friendly events from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., including inflatables, face painting, carnival games, and a street market.
A Canada Day ceremony will take place from noon to 1 p.m., featuring speeches, a martial arts demonstration, and cake cutting.
Live music by Jeff Black will run from 1 to 4 p.m.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the entertainment.
