Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 10:33 a.m., the Chatham-Kent Police Service was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Longwoods Road between Wallace Street and Pitt Road, within the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.
The collision involved two vehicles, each with one occupant.
A 29-year-old male from Thamesville was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with minor injuries.
A 29-year-old female from Ridgetown was taken to Four Counties Hospital with serious injuries and later succumbed to her injuries.
Due to the severity of the situation, the Traffic Management Unit attended the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation.
The roadway remained closed for several hours but has since reopened.
This investigation is still ongoing.
