OPP officials allege: A transport truck driver lost control on Highway 402 and entered the centre median leading to an extended highway closure.
On July 13, 2025, at 1:40 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and Adelaide Metcalfe Fire were dispatched to the westbound lanes of Highway 402 near Seed Road in Adelaide Metcalfe for the report of a transport truck that left the Highway and entered the centre median.
One lane of traffic was closed for the initial investigation and was subsequently opened until approximately 12:30 p.m., when members of the Middlesex County OPP fully closed the Westbound lanes of Highway 402 to assist with removal. The highway was opened at approximately 4:00 p.m.
There were no injuries reported.
A 28-year-old of London has been charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
