The Marshy Creek Bridge on Ward Line, between St. Clair Parkway and Baseline Road, will be closed starting Tuesday, July 15, 2025, as reconstruction work begins on the aging structure.
The closure is expected to remain in effect until Friday, Nov. 28.
The project involves removing the existing bridge superstructure and replacing it with a new one. Due to the scope of the work, the bridge will be completely closed to through traffic, with lane closures expected on St. Clair Parkway throughout the construction period.

Traffic will be detoured around the closure using Broadway Street, Lambton Line, Highway 40, and Langstaff Line—a route approximately 14.1 kilometres in length.
“We appreciate your patience while this work is completed,” St. Clair Township officials stated on social media.
“Local traffic only while the road is closed.”
During construction, residents north of the bridge (4406–4739 St. Clair Parkway) will have access via Lambton Line, while those south of the bridge (4750–29869 St. Clair Parkway) will be able to reach their homes from Langstaff Line.
The reconstruction is being undertaken due to the bridge’s age and condition.
Signage and traffic control measures will be in place, and motorists are advised to expect delays and follow posted detours.
