St. Clair Catholic approves balanced $154.8M budget for 2025–2026 school year

The St. Clair Catholic District School Board has approved a balanced $154.8 million budget for the 2025–2026 school year, with a focus on student well-being, academic achievement, and Catholic faith formation.

The budget reflects the board’s ongoing commitment to responsible financial stewardship and long-term planning, while responding to the evolving needs of students and school communities.

“Our 2025–2026 budget balances today’s priorities with tomorrow’s opportunities,” said Amy Park, Associate Director – Corporate Services. “Strategic investments in academics, well-being, and faith ensure a strong, sustainable future for our entire system.”

Key highlights of the financial plan include:

– The addition of 6.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff focused on wellness and student support

– Strengthened resources for math achievement and professional development

– Increased support for Catholic identity and spiritual development

– Continued investment in school facility maintenance and renewal

– Proactive planning based on enrolment trends and community needs
