Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A man has been charged following an assault on a woman during an intimate partner violence incident in Chatham.
Police responded to a home on Sheldon Avenue around 12:30 a.m. after a woman sustained a facial injury.
Investigators say an argument escalated after the man had consumed a significant amount of alcohol.
He was arrested and later released with an August 25 court date.
