Chatham-Kent Public Works will be removing unused railway crossings and completing asphalt restoration at three former WDC Railway sites this week.
Pioneer Line will be closed in both directions at the railway crossing, 335 metres east of Prince Albert Road, on Tuesday, July 22 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The detour route will be Prince Albert Road (CK 30) to Gregory Line to Caledonia Road.
Freedom Road will be closed 610 metres north of Base Line at the railway crossing on Wednesday, July 23 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drivers will be detoured via Base Line (CK 15), North Street (CK 29), North Street (CK 21) and Park Street (CK 40).
Community Road (CK 21) will be closed immediately north of Arnold Street on Thursday, July 24 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Access to nearby properties on Community Road, Arnold Street and Jackson Street south of the railway crossing will be maintained at all times via Base Line. The detour will follow Base Line (CK 15), North Street (CK 29) and Community Road (CK 21).
