The annual Dresden Exhibition is back this weekend, offering a full slate of traditional fair favourites — and one thunderous new addition. The highlight of this year’s festivities is Monster Madness, featuring the stars of the FMX World Tour, roaring into the Dresden Raceway on Saturday, July 26.
The high-octane spectacle promises two outdoor shows packed with side-by-side monster truck racing, freestyle competition, and stunt-filled motocross action. The first show begins at 1 p.m., with a second performance at 3:30 p.m. Adult admission is $25 at the gate, and $10 for children 12 and under.
Organizers are billing it as a “mind-blowing” experience for fans of all ages, with 10,000-pound trucks performing jaw-dropping stunts and FMX athletes executing mid-air tricks and backflips.
The weekend kicks off Friday, July 25, when the exhibit building opens at 4:30 p.m., followed by a tractor pull at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the exhibit building reopens at 9 a.m., coinciding with the start of the Soap Box Derby, which runs until 2:30 p.m. A 4-H cattle show begins at 10 a.m., with breeding and market cattle competitions to follow. The fair wraps up Sunday morning with exhibit pickup from 9 a.m. to noon.
