Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Two people were arrested after Chatham-Kent police responded to a report of intimate partner violence Thursday night.
Officers arrived at a Chatham residence around 9:53 p.m. after receiving a complaint about loud noises. Police say a 21-year-old woman refused to let them inside, despite a 42-year-old man being seen inside in violation of court conditions.
Police forced entry and arrested the man, who was under a court order not to be near the woman. Further investigation revealed the woman was also under conditions not to contact or be near the man.
The woman was charged with failing to comply with an undertaking. The man was charged with facilitating a breach. Both were taken into custody and held for bail.
