Commercial motor vehicle driver charged with stunt driving in Enniskillen

OPP officials allege: A commercial motor vehicle driver has been charged with stunt driving.

On July 28, 2025, shorty after 10:30 a.m., a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting traffic enforcement in Oil City, located in the Township of Enniskillen.

The officer observed a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) travelling at what appeared to be a high rate of speed. The CMV was stopped on Oil Heritage Road, south of Petrolia Line, after travelling more than 90 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old from Windsor, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with the following offence:

· Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed

The driver was further issued a 30-day driver’s licence suspension, and the vehicle has been impounded for a period of 14 days.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court to speak to the charge at a later date.
