OPP investigating theft and mischief at Petrolia business

OPP officials allege: Lambton County OPP are investigating after a change machine was damaged and money was stolen from a business on Robert Street.

Police say the incident happened around 3 p.m. on July 24, when an unidentified individual attended the property, caused damage to the machine and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a male with a small build and a dark brown and white goatee. At the time, he was carrying a black backpack and wearing a black ball cap, black t-shirt, light plaid shorts and black running shoes.

A photo of the suspect has been released. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers. The investigation is ongoing.
