Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 24-year-old Leamington man has been charged after allegedly fleeing police during a brief pursuit.
Around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 3, Chatham-Kent police attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on Wheatley Road. The pursuit was called off shortly after for safety reasons.
Officers later identified the suspect and located him at a Leamington residence.
He was charged with dangerous driving, stunt driving, and failing to stop at a red light.
His vehicle was impounded and his licence suspended.
The man was released with a court date set for Sept. 15.
