Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 10, 2025, at approximately 6:15 p.m., police responded to a weapons-related incident on King Street in Wallaceburg.
The altercation began when an adult male accused confronted another adult male victim outside their residence.
During the confrontation, the accused reportedly threatened the victim’s life while reaching into a backpack for what appeared to be a firearm.
The victim then informed the accused he would call the police, prompting the accused to flee the scene westbound on Bruce Street.
Police established a containment area and searched for the accused but were initially unsuccessful.
A warrant for his arrest was sought.
On August 12, 2025, the 33-Year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested on Murray Street in Wallaceburg.
He was transported to police headquarters and is currently held for bail.
He has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats.
