TBT: County Fair Mall in Wallaceburg, 1970’s

In recognition of Wallaceburg’s 150th anniversary this year, the Wallaceburg & District Museum has launched a new feature on social media: ‘150 Facts, for 150 Years’.

Here is one of their recent posts:

“The County Fair Mall opened its doors August 20th 1974 on McNaughton Avenue. Starting with 25,000 square feet , it expanded to 36,000 square feet of retail space. In the early 1990’s the mall had everything you could need from seafood, florals, convenience store, gifts, restaurant, groceries, hairdresser, fashions and much more.
Can you name some of your favourite businesses from the mall?”
