Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Tilbury man is in custody after Chatham-Kent police responded to threats and property damage at a Wheatley residence.
Officers were called to the home on Talbot Trail early Saturday morning, where they found visible damage. Police allege a 21-year-old man had been sending threatening text messages and targeting the occupants of the residence.
The man was arrested and charged with uttering threats, mischief over $5,000, and failing to comply with a probation order.
He was transported to the South West Detention Centre and will remain in custody until his scheduled video court appearance on Aug. 18.
