Wallaceburg driver faces multiple charges after a traffic stop in Petrolia

OPP officials allege: A traffic stop in Petrolia results in multiple charges.

On August 17, 2025, shortly after 11:45 a.m., a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on North Street, west of Oil Heritage Road.

As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old of Wallaceburg was charged under the Highway Traffic Act and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with the following offences:

– Driving while under suspension

– Class G1 holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver

– Drive motor vehicle – no currently validated permit

– Drive without proper rear light – motor vehicle

– Fail to have insurance card

The accused is scheduled to appear before the provincial offences court in the City of Sarnia on October 2, 2025.
