Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 36-year-old woman has been charged after breaking into an apartment on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Police responded on September 2 around 9 p.m. to reports of a woman smashing a window with a brick to gain entry. Officers arrived as the woman attempted to flee, and she was arrested.
She appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was first transported to hospital for assessment before being taken to police headquarters.
The woman was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on October 7.
