Chatham man charged with impaired driving after crash in Camden Township

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Chatham man is facing impaired driving charges after a pickup truck rolled into a ditch late Saturday night.

Police said the single-vehicle collision happened on Tramway Road in Camden Township around 11 p.m. An F250 truck had left the roadway and overturned.

Officers believed the 20-year-old driver was impaired by alcohol. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for testing.

He has been charged with operating a vehicle while impaired with blood-alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams. The man was released with conditions and is set to appear in court on Sept. 23.
