With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Margaret “Peggy” Main, of Wallaceburg, on Monday, September 8, 2025 at the age of 89 years. Peggy was born in Chatham and was a daughter of the late John and Lillie (Gillman) Campbell. Beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Main.
Loving mother of Larry (Deb) Main, Tim Main, Barbara Main and Rob (Susie) Main. Dear grandmother of Alana, Nathan, Colette, Mackenzie, Justin, Khany and Vatana.
Kind sister of Donna (the late Ken) Buckler and predeceased by her siblings Jack (Josie) Campbell, Patti (Doug) Jewel and Grant (Madeline) Campbell.
She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Peggy was past member of the Baptist Women Fellowship and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church Choir. She love to knit and crochet and spend time working on puzzles with her grandchildren.
The late Peggy Main is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Thursday at the funeral home from 4-7pm. The funeral will be celebrated on Friday, September 12, 2025 at the First Baptist Church at 12:30pm. Interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Society may be left at the funeral home.
