A community fundraising dinner is planned later this month to support a new accessible playground at St. Elizabeth Catholic School in Wallaceburg.
The event will take place Saturday, March 21 at 5 p.m. at the Wallaceburg Moose Lodge. The dinner will feature broasted chicken prepared by Burns Restaurant in Dresden.
Tickets are being sold for $20 each and will include three pieces of broasted chicken, potatoes, salad, mixed vegetables and a bun. Family and friends are welcome to attend, with payments required in advance through SchoolCash Online.
Organizers say the fundraiser is part of the school’s multi-year effort to raise $100,000 for a new accessible playground that will serve both students and the wider community.
All proceeds from the dinner will go toward the playground fundraising goal.
