Residents can safely dispose of household hazardous waste at Chatham-Kent’s final Saturday drop-off of the year on Sept. 20.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Veolia Environmental Services, 141 Prosperity Way, Chatham. Items accepted include motor oils, pool chemicals, batteries, e-waste and other hazardous household materials.
Officials said the drop-off is free of charge, and two additional weekday drop-off days remain available for 2025.
