Update: Highway 40 between Cedar Hedge Line and Claymore Line in Chatham-Kent reopened at 4:40 a.m. on Oct. 2, OPP officials. We’ll provide more details when they become available.
OPP officials allege: Ontario Provincial Police say Highway 40 has been closed in both directions following a serious two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon.
OPP officials said officers were called to the crash on St. Clair Road in Chatham-Kent around 4:30 p.m.
The highway is expected to remain closed for several hours between Cedar Hedge Line and Claymore Line.
Police said updates will be provided as they become available.
