Lambton OPP officers joined students and staff at Walpole Island Elementary School for their Orange Shirt Day Walk on Monday.
The walk was held in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a time to honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, along with survivors, their families and communities.
Police said they were honoured to stand alongside the community in remembrance and reflection, and in commitment to learning and healing together.
