Sarnia Police Service officials allege: Sarnia police say a man was assaulted after a dispute on White Circle Saturday afternoon.
Officers were called to the address around 2:56 p.m. on Sept. 27, where they spoke with the adult male victim. Police said the victim had agreed to have two individuals drive him to Corunna for a set amount of money. When they returned, the pair demanded more money. An argument followed and one of the men struck the victim in the face, causing him to lose consciousness. He later awoke and called police.
While responding to the call, an officer observed a vehicle matching the victim’s description, with two men in the front seats. A traffic stop was conducted and the men were identified as those involved in the assault. Police said a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of two spring-assisted flick knives in the driver’s door.
Both men were arrested and held for bail. They were later released from custody with conditions by the court.
