Construction to begin on Tupperville Road culvert replacements

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is set to begin construction on the Tupperville Road Culvert Replacements project, which includes the replacement of culverts at Tupperville Road over Pike Creek Drain and Tupperville Road over Miller Drain.

The municipality has retained Henry Heyink Construction for the work, which is scheduled to start the week of Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, with equipment mobilization and detour setup.

A full closure of Tupperville Road will be required for the duration of construction. Work will begin at the Pike Creek Drain site, located 350 metres south of McCreary Line, and is expected to take about four weeks. Construction will then move to the Miller Drain site, 250 metres south of McCreary Line, which is also expected to take roughly four weeks.

The project is planned for completion in December 2025.

Motorists are advised to follow detour signage at all times. Access to properties will be maintained, though some interruptions are possible during construction. The municipality thanked residents for their patience during the work.
