Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 52-year-old Chatham man after threats were made at a local health facility on Thursday afternoon.
Police said officers were called to the Grand Avenue West facility around 1:20 p.m. after a man entered the lobby and asked to speak with staff before making threatening statements toward two employees who were not present at the time. Officers located the man a short time later.
Investigators determined the man was bound by a probation order issued on Sept. 10, 2025, that prohibited him from attending the health facility unless for a pre-scheduled appointment or medical emergency.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death and one count of failing to comply with probation. He was taken to Chatham-Kent police headquarters, where he was held for a bail hearing.
