Sarnia Police Service officials allege: On October 5, 2025, at 2:21 a.m., police were called to the 900 block of Confederation Street in Sarnia for a report of a male dressed in black committing an indecent act on a mattress beside the dumpsters of a townhouse complex.
Officers arrived and located the man in the act. He attempted to walk away but was arrested after a brief struggle. Police said he was found to be bound by five probation orders requiring him to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
A witness told police she was in her living room with her five-year-old child earlier in the night when she saw the man looking into her window. She yelled, prompting him to flee toward the dumpsters. Another witness later observed him lying on the mattress with his genitals exposed.
The 26-year-old man of no fixed address was held for bail on charges of committing an indecent act, trespass by night, resisting a police officer, and five counts of failing to comply with probation.
Police said the accused has had 43 interactions with officers since October 2024, including 11 arrests and 37 charges. This marks his fifth indecent act charge and 20th breach of probation in that time.
