Chatham woman charged with impaired driving following traffic stop

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 46-year-old Chatham woman is facing impaired driving charges following a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.

At approximately 2:11 a.m. on October 7, 2025, an officer stopped a vehicle on Raleigh Street and suspected the driver had been drinking. A roadside test was conducted, leading to an arrest.

The woman was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters for further testing and was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

She was released on a Form 10 with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on October 27, 2025.
