Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent police have charged a 46-year-old woman following a disturbance early Tuesday morning.
Around 2:19 a.m. on Oct. 7, officers responded to a report of a dispute at a residence in Chatham. Police say a verbal altercation escalated into a physical confrontation, leaving a 46-year-old Blenheim woman with minor injuries. She did not require additional medical attention and was removed from the home by other occupants before officers arrived.
Later that day, police located and arrested a 46-year-old Chatham-Kent woman on reasonable grounds. She was charged with assault and released from custody with a future court date of Nov. 12, 2025.
