The Chatham-Kent Police Service has introduced a new online reporting tool powered by Rubicon, making it easier for residents to report non-emergency crimes. Available 24 hours a day on the service’s website, the tool improves accessibility and allows officers to focus on urgent calls while ensuring all community concerns are addressed.
“We’re proud to introduce our new online reporting tool from Rubicon, offering Chatham-Kent residents a faster, more convenient way to report non-emergency crimes,” said Deputy Chief Jason Chickowski. “Accessible 24/7, it enhances how we receive and manage reports, helping officers prioritize urgent calls while ensuring all issues are properly addressed. This is a meaningful advancement in public safety, aimed at reinforcing trust and improving service between our police and the community.”
The new system also integrates with the non-emergency phone line through Rubicon’s automated voice feature. When callers select the option to report online, the system provides step-by-step guidance and sends a secure link to their mobile device to complete the report.
Police say the update will help reduce wait times, improve access, and ensure that all concerns are managed quickly and thoroughly — another step forward in modernizing how residents engage with police when support is needed most.
