Chatham-Kent Public Library is celebrating Ontario Public Library Week with a How-To Festival and Open House at the Chatham Branch later this month.
Ontario Public Library Week runs from October 19 to 25 under the theme “Libraries for Life.” The Open House will take place Thursday, October 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Library Café at the Chatham Branch.
Community members are invited to learn more about Literary Angels, a new library collection, and speak with Library Board members. Light refreshments will be served.
As part of the How-To Festival, participants can reserve themed “grab and go” kits or take part in in-person How-To programs. Registration for the kits opens October 6, with pickup available at any CKPL branch beginning October 20.
Those interested can contact Ask CKPL staff by phone at 519-354-2940, text 519-401-7174, or email cklibrary@chatham-kent.ca. Details about in-person events are available at www.ckpl.ca/programcalendar.
