Man charged after neighbour stabbed during dispute in Sarnia

Sarnia Police Service officials allege: A man is in custody after a noise dispute between neighbours turned violent Tuesday evening.

Police were called to the 700 block of London Road around 5:12 p.m. on October 28, 2025, following reports of an altercation.

When officers arrived, they found a 64-year-old man suffering from two stab wounds — one to his upper arm and another to his right shoulder blade. The suspect was located sitting on the porch of a neighbouring home and was arrested at the scene.

Investigators determined the two men had argued earlier in the day over excessive noise. A short time later, the suspect went to the victim’s home and began knocking loudly on the door. When the victim answered, another argument took place, during which the suspect allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the victim.

Lambton EMS treated the victim at the scene before transporting him to Bluewater Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

An 18-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon, and two counts of disobeying a court order. Following a bail hearing, he was remanded into custody.
