Man charged after confrontation in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 40-year-old Chatham man is facing several charges following an alleged altercation Saturday afternoon.

Police said officers were called around 2:18 p.m. November 1 to a disturbance between two men. Investigators allege the accused intentionally drove toward a 34-year-old Chatham man standing in a driveway, narrowly missing him before fleeing the scene.

The man reportedly returned and tried to enter the residence, leading to a physical altercation. Police said the accused then grabbed an object and raised it in a threatening manner before fleeing again.

He was later located and charged with dangerous operation, assault, and assault with a weapon. He was released with a court date of November 26.
