Apprenticeship information event set for November 12 in Chatham
Residents interested in exploring apprenticeship opportunities are invited to attend Starting Your Journey: Navigating Apprenticeships on November 12 at 6 p.m. at the Retro Suites Hotel’s Derby Room, 2 King Street West in Chatham.
The event will feature a live employer panel, a presentation in partnership with Lambton College, and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions about apprenticeship programs and career pathways.
The evening begins with doors opening at 5:30 p.m., followed by a local employer panel from 6 to 6:45 p.m. featuring representatives from Blackcomb Barber, Handy Bros, and Huron Tractor. A presentation with Lambton College will follow from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m., with a question-and-answer session to conclude the event.
Organizers say the event is ideal for those just starting out or considering a career change. “Join us for an evening filled with insightful discussions and valuable information on apprenticeships,” organizers said. “Don’t miss out on this chance to kickstart your career journey!”
The event is part of an Employment Ontario project funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario.
