Clarence Wayne Williams, also known as “Clar Bear,” “Clar,” or “Bear,” a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the age of 50.
Clarence is the son of Denise Kicknosway and the late Wayne Williams.
Beloved father of Angel Williams and viewed her friends Oliver Gray, Abigail Douglas, Iris Nahdee, Ruby George, Tyrece Gibson and Nova Webber as his own children. Loved brother of Nathan Williams (Heidi), Corwin Murphy, Eli Snake (Alicia) and the late Monica Murphy. He will also be missed by his dear fur babies Coco and Roxy. Clarence was best known for his kindness and generosity. He was a very strong and hardworking man cutting wood and clearing lots for a living before joining his grandfather at the Nookomis Store on the four corners. He also enjoyed playing billiards.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at the family home, 618 Chief’s Road South on Walpole Island from anytime after 4 PM on Monday, November 10. The funeral will be held at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Tuesday, November 11 at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery.
