Chatham man charged after mischief and obstruction incidents

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 28-year-old Chatham-Kent man is facing multiple charges after police responded to two mischief calls at local businesses over the weekend.

Officers were first called around 8:10 p.m. November 8 after damage was reported to a bathroom door. A second, similar call came in around 3:30 a.m. the next morning, and police located a man matching the suspect’s description.

According to police, the man initially gave officers false information but was later identified and arrested.

He has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and obstructing a peace officer. The accused was released with a court date of November 10, 2025.
