Bill Arends filed his nomination papers on Friday, August 14, 2026 and is running for Chatham-Kent Council, representing Ward 5 – Wallaceburg.
Arends is the 12th candidate to file who is vying for one of two spots in Wallaceburg,
He joins Brendan Authier, Loree Bailey, Jim Blake, Dave Brundritt, Steven Burritt, Mark Childs, Jason Debuck, Brent DeNure, Dave Hyatt, Zac Nicholson and Chris Young.
Both of Wallaceburg’s current Councillors, Carmen McGregor and Aaron Hall, have stated publicly they won’t be seeking re-election.
Election day is Monday, October 26, 2026.
