Great things are happening at the Sydenham Community Curling Club, where new programs and community initiatives are bringing people together in fresh ways.
The club has launched a free four-part seminar series for adults 55 and older, open to anyone interested in learning about aging-related topics. The first session, From Loss to Living, was described as inspiring and heartfelt, offering valuable insight and connection for attendees.
The next sessions are set for November 14, December and January.
Thanks to two successful grant applications, the club has been able to grow beyond its traditional curling programs. In recent years, it has added spring and summer pickleball, and this year introduced a summer shuffleboard league made possible through 2025–26 grant funding.
The same funding is also supporting monthly dances, free for seniors, and the ongoing seminar series, further strengthening the club’s role as a community hub.
Residents are encouraged to get involved and experience what’s new at the Sydenham Community Curling Club. More information and registration details are available at sydenhamcurlingclub.com.
