Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 31-year-old Chatham man was charged after failing a roadside breath test during a late-night traffic stop on Nov. 24.
Police conducted the stop around 10:46 p.m. on Middle Line after seeing a vehicle fail to stop at an amber light. During the investigation, an officer demanded a sample on an approved screening device. The driver provided a sample resulting in a fail and was arrested for operation while over 80 milligrams.
He received a three-day licence suspension under the Highway Traffic Act and a provincial offence notice for the traffic violation. He was later released unconditionally.
