Municipality of Chatham-Kent officials say they are “saddened to confirm” an individual residing at the Pathways on Park Transitional Cabin site died on December 4, 2025.
“The coroner attended the site and was unable to determine an immediate cause of death. No evidence of foul play was found,” Municipal officials said, in a media release on Friday.
“Out of respect for the individual and their loved ones, no personal information will be released.”
Municipal staff coordinated immediately with emergency services and support is being provided to others at the site, as well as to staff and partner agencies impacted by this tragic incident, Municipal officials added.
“As this is a difficult time for the deceased’s family and friends, as well as other residents and staff at Pathways on Park, please keep all those impacted by this passing in your thoughts,” Municipal officials say.
Further information will be shared “only as appropriate”, Municipal officials added.
