Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A traffic stop early Tuesday morning led to breach charges for two Chatham residents.
Chatham-Kent police say officers stopped a vehicle around 2:50 a.m. on Dec. 10 on Sandys Street in relation to Highway Traffic Act offences. During the investigation, officers learned the 23-year-old driver was under court-ordered conditions not to communicate with a 32-year-old woman who was in the passenger seat.
Both were charged with failing to comply with a release order. The man was also issued four Part III notices for Highway Traffic Act offences and was held for bail. The woman was released with a court date of Jan. 13, 2025.
