The Santa Claus Parade began at 4 p.m., starting at BK School and making its way to the sports complex. Community members lined the route to watch the colourful floats and wave to Santa as he greeted the crowd.
The celebrations continued into the evening with the Winter Solstice Dance, held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the sports complex. Music, dancing and holiday cheer filled the venue as families and friends gathered to mark the occasion.
