The St. Clair District Catholic Education Foundation has completed the draw for its Christmas Season of Giving 50/50 Raffle, with the winning ticket selected last week at the Catholic Education Centre in Wallaceburg.
Ticket D-83836 was chosen at random, awarding the prize to Melanie Erickson of Chatham, Ontario. Erickson will receive $23,627.50, representing half of the total jackpot of $47,255.
The Foundation extended its sincere appreciation to everyone who participated, noting that continued community support makes a meaningful difference for Catholic students and schools across the district.
Among secondary schools, St. Patrick’s generated approximately $2,537 in ticket sales, followed by Ursuline College Chatham at about $1,854. At the elementary level, St. Teresa of Calcutta raised roughly $1,252, Gregory A. Hogan about $1,214, and St. Angela Merici approximately $1,074.
Several other schools also recorded strong results, including St. Anne in Blenheim with about $834, St. Michael in Bright’s Grove at roughly $786, St. Matthew at approximately $742, Monsignor Uyen at about $714, St. Anne in Sarnia with around $708, Sacred Heart in Sarnia at roughly $676, Holy Trinity at about $624, and Christ the King at approximately $584. The St. Clair District Catholic Education Foundation confirmed the next raffle will return in 2026 and encouraged supporters to stay tuned for future details.
