OPP officials allege: Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fail-to-remain motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the Town of Corunna.
According to Lambton County OPP, officers responded just before 5:40 p.m. on Dec. 17, 2025, to a report of a collision on Beckwith Street between Nantais Court and Colborne Street. Police say an individual was walking along the shoulder of the roadway when they were struck from behind by a vehicle.
The involved vehicle failed to remain at the scene and was last seen travelling eastbound, police say. The pedestrian was assessed and treated at the scene by Lambton County Emergency Medical Services for minor injuries.
Investigators report the vehicle involved sustained damage to the front passenger-side mirror. Based on debris located at the scene, police believe the vehicle may be a 2010 to 2017 Chevrolet Equinox.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle and driver involved. Those wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, where a cash reward of up to $2,000 may be available.
