Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a family dispute at a residence on Antrim Road in Howard Township on December 23, 2025.
Police were called to the address at approximately 3:51 p.m. and learned that a 54-year-old man from Morpeth had allegedly been consuming alcohol and threatening family members while in possession of a crowbar. The individual fled the scene prior to officers arriving.
Officers later located the individual inside a vehicle parked on Chatham Street in Blenheim. As a result of the investigation, the individual was charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and failure or refusal to comply with a demand.
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of February 2, 2026.
