The Bahai Community of Chatham Kent announces January event focused on strengthening relationships

Organizers with The Bahai Community of Chatham Kent say they are continuing efforts to bring local communities together with another public event planned for later this winter.

The next gathering is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and will focus on building strong relationships and promoting non-confrontational communication. Organizers say professionals in the field will be involved in the event, and additional details will be shared closer to the date.

The upcoming event follows a recent community gathering that drew participants from across southwestern Ontario, including London, Chatham, Wallaceburg, Lakeshore, Sarnia, Windsor and Alvinston. Organizers said attendees represented a wide range of backgrounds, faiths and beliefs, including Muslims, Christians, agnostics, atheists and members of the Baha’i Faith, as well as participants ranging from youth to elders.

The earlier event was also attended by Chatham-Kent–Leamington MP Dave Epp, who recognized the group’s efforts to foster unity, along with guest speaker Dr. Sepideh Taheri of London and local Baha’i liaison Renee Daras.
