Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A woman is facing an assault charge following a domestic dispute in Ridgetown.
Chatham-Kent police say officers responded to a residence on George Street at about 11:43 p.m. on Dec. 25, 2025. The investigation determined that a verbal argument between intimate partners escalated into a physical altercation.
Police allege a 33-year-old woman from Ridgetown punched a 39-year-old man from Chatham in the face. The woman was arrested and charged with assault. She was taken to police headquarters and later released with conditions. A court appearance has been scheduled for Feb. 2, 2026.
